What is The Prevention S.H.I.E.L.D.?
The Prevention S.H.I.E.L.D. is an innovative database and one of the current Prevention Specialist services offered by The Prevention Network.
S.H.I.E.L.D. is an acronym that stands for: System. Help. Intervene. Evaluate. Learn. Develop.
We will help you understand the measurable outcomes, advancements, goals, updates, and plans that have been continuously evolving throughout each school year.
PURPOSE OF S.H.I.E.L.D.
1. To ensure that no student who is in need of services has the ability to get ‘lost’ within the current prevention and mental health support system or go without services.
2. To ensure all students, parents, and school officials have access to the needed information in order to make informed decisions regarding the support services that students are recommended for and receiving in a timely manner.
3. To ensure fidelity across all layers of support provided within the current school-based mental health and prevention support systems in Beaver County.
