Safe start driver's training

Additional Information

Private Vehicle Training

The Behind-the-Wheel Program consists of the state required 6 hours of hands-on driver’s training.

Our state certified instructors will schedule individually with a student, working with their schedules.

The Safe Start Program vehicles are used for the instruction, are fully insured and are equipped with an extra operable brake pedal for the instructors to use as a safety measure.

Each driver will be trained in the areas of proper hand-over-hand steering, turning, passing, entering/exiting highways and parking.

Our instructors help a driver to achieve appropriate speed control, navigate narrow roads and highways, and use defensive driving tactics to avoid crashes.
